The Willow Tree Nursery School was highly recommended to us, and we have seen on a daily basis just why it has formed a strong reputation in the area. Both of our children have benefited hugely from the caring and attentive environment of the nursery. There’s a positive energy to the whole place, which is so important and frankly is different from some we had visited. There are big, welcoming smiles from the team at the start of each day and satisfied smiles on the children’s faces at collection time, when they share with enthusiasm what they have been doing. You can see from a quick visit that the room is well thought out and full of fun activities and toys for all interests. Our boys quickly developed a relationship with the room and found favourite areas. We have seen how well the staff get to know each child and the level of detail we hear about their progress proves it. They combine a flexible and nurturing approach with the need to develop behaviour within a social group over time. We wanted our children to have fun and not feel they are already in a restrictive school environment, but an understanding of playing nicely with others and following instructions is clearly key to their development. The Willow Tree staff have just the right balance to prepare them for the next stage, little by little. It is also worth noting that Andrea and the team have been receptive to ideas and suggestions from parents over time. The organisation, communication and use of space are continually being refined – and were already at a great level when we started, so we couldn’t be happier. We have no hesitation in recommending the nursery to parents in this area.
